Welcome!

My name is Daniel Oliver Huxley. I live in New Hampshire with my adult kiddo and a very bratty cat in a small apartment in a rural town. I'm transgender and pansexual, which has an impact on my life and my writing. I also enjoy photography, crochet and other creative endeavors, and word games.

I have been writing since I was in sixth grade. I write novels and short stories for people of all ages. I tend to gravitate to writing stories that are more on the more uncomfortable side of things and I'm willing to explore topics others may shy away from. I'm a bit of a realist in my writing and try to write stories that are factual whenever possible. Many of the stories are steeped in my personal experiences, both the good and the not so good. The most important thing to know about my writing is that I don't believe in the traditional happy endings as life just doesn't work that way.

Murder at the Winston Inn
The Winston Inn has a sordid past, including a period of time as a brothel owned and operated by Jess Winston in the late 1800s. Author Anna Mitchell visits the inn to write a fictionalization of Jess' story and the graphic murders of four young prostitutes by an unknown killer.

Shortly after her arrival, murders mirroring the grisly homicides in Anna's novel start happening as she researches the past and unravels the truth about who killed the prostitutes when the inn served as a brothel. She finds her own life is in danger when the answer is delivered to her via an previously unknown journal. And, exposes the modern day killer in the process.
